March, Moar Games!
As a result of my first two monthly resolutions, my time’s becoming more and more structured: a good thing! One downside, though, is that things which I never consciously decided to do before are getting ignored. Gaming was one of those things I never decided to do, I just did it. It was like breathing, you don’t set aside time for that! Now that I’m actually doing the things I decide to do, gaming isn’t happening because I’m just used to thinking about it that way. This is a problem because
- I like playing games,
- I want to make games,
- to design games I need to play games!
Therefore, gaming is important to me! The answer is obvious: play more games by scheduling time to play them! My goal for March is to play games every day, for at least 30 minutes. 30 is conservative, but it’s really a lower bound, there are some days I might not really be able to spare too much time/energy while keeping up the appearance that I’m working hard =p. I hope to score much higher on average. Besides, I can treat it as education!
